Crocking made simpler. Day 1.

Making the Coke roast last week gave me an idea. An idea that might persuade even MORE people to dust off their pots. It's crocking made simpler. Or something. Everything I make this week has 5 (or fewer) ingredients in it.

So far, I've crocked pulled pork, ribs, and roasts, but no chops. Why? I don't really know. Today was pork chop night. With 5 ingredients.

"Aloha Chops" (6 quart pot)

~2 thick cut chops (We have a bunch of leftovers from last week, so I halved the chop count for tonight.)
~1 orange bell pepper, seeded and diced
~1 medium onion, chopped
~1 can (20 oz) crushed pineapple, drained
~1 bottle (18oz) honey mustard bbq sauce (I used Hunt's.)

Place chops in to greased crock pot.
Mix all other ingredients in a medium bowl.
Pour mixture over chops.
Cover and cook on low for 8 hours.

4 servings.

This was good. It wasn't the best crock potted meal, but it wasn't the worst either. If you're looking for a sweet bbq sauce type recipe, you might enjoy this. The meat was falling apart, so I'm convinced that I can now cook a good pork chop....I just have to find the right recipe.
