Hot stuff.

Amy picked number 23. (Thanks, Amy!) The twenty third card in the stack was...

"Weeknight Chili" (6 quart pot)

~1 lb ground beef, browned and drained
~1 pkg chili seasoning mix (I used McCormick's HOT)
~1 (15 oz) can dark red kidney beans, rinsed and drained
~1 (14.5 oz) can petite diced tomatoes with chipotle chiles (the original recipe called for the tomatoes with green chiles, but Lauer's didn't have that option, so I improvised.)
~1 (8 oz) can tomato sauce
~shredded cheddar cheese
~slices green onions

Add beef, seasoning, beans, tomatoes, and tomato sauce to crock pot.
Cover and cook on low for 5 hours.
Top each serving with cheese.
Garnish with onions.

4 servings

I heard the words "Best. Chili. Ever" come from my other half's mouth. It was SUPER crazy spicy, so if you're into that sort of thing like we are...STAY AWAY.
