Chicken You Can Build On

I saw this recipe on Pinterest. Contrary to what I said yesterday, it doesn't have any blue cheese. Instead, it's full of chicken, pineapple, and awesome! After all, we need something that purports to be healthy this week.

"Pineapple Chicken" (6 quart pot)

The original is HERE.

~4 frozen chicken breasts
~1/2 c. soy sauce (I used reduced sodium.)
~1/2 c. teriyaki sauce
~1 (14 oz) can pineapple chunks, with 1/2 juices reserved
~1/2 t crushed red pepper flakes
~rice, cooked

Place chicken in crock pot.
Add remaining ingredients (except rice).
Cover and cook on HIGH for 6 hours.

6 servings.
This was really good, and easy to make. I love pineapple, and chicken was meant for the crock pot. It's tender and awesome. The girl shredded it to make it even awesomer. I definitely tasted the soy sauce, though, and I think it could use a little less; maybe 1/3 cup. It could also use more pineapple to make it a bit sweeter, and maybe a bit more teriyaki. Basically, as the recipe is, the soy sauce is a bit overpowering, but you can definitely taste the potential that it has.
