I picked this one because I thought it'd be easy. And then I went to the store.
"Teriyaki Barbecue Chicken Sandwiches" (6 quart pot)
The original recipe is HERE.
~4 chicken breasts (Lauer's didn't have thighs.)
~2 t Japanese Seven Spice (Lauer's didn't have stir fry seasoning mix. Thanks for the spice care package, Molly's mom!)
~1/2 c ketchup
~1/4 c teriyaki sauce
~coleslaw mix
~hamburger rolls (We had some in the freezer.)
Place chicken in crock pot.
Mix spice mix, ketchup, and teriyaki sauce in small bowl.
Pour mixture over chicken.
Cover and cook on low for 7 hours.
Shred chicken with forks.
Stir well to mix chicken and sauce.
Place coleslaw mix on roll.
Top mix with chicken.
6 servings.
This was really, really good. Considering I ended up having to wing the main ingredients, I was impressed with myself. I even patted myself on the back and everything. My little helper LOVED the chicken, so it must be tasty. Right?
Remember when he wasn't "Fat Brando"?
