This recipe name was just amusing to me. Defrost what? I suppose it could refer to anything, but in this particular recipe, it was chicken. The hard part for me wasn't remembering to forget to defrost, but waking up early enough to get things started. Our 7 month old "alarm clock" helped me out with that one...
"So You Forgot To Defrost!" (6 quart pot)
~4 frozen chicken breasts
~2 cans cream of chicken soup (I now have no cream of something soups in the house. Woohoo!)
~4 oz sliced mushrooms
~3/4 t salt
~1/4 t pepper
~1 c chopped celery (this wasn't in the original recipe. I added it for fun)
Place chicken in crock pot.
Mix all other ingredients in a medium bowl.
Pour mixture over chicken.
Cover and cook on low for 12 hours.
4 servings.
This is how chicken should be cooked. It pretty much fell apart on our plates. I imagine you could top the frozen chicken whatever you'd like and as long as you cook it for 12 hours on low, it'll come out amazing. Next time, I'm going to try it with bbq sauce because that would be fastastic.
