Dinner's two ingredients that belong together? Chicken and hot buffalo sauce. "I put that **** on everything!"
"Hot Wings" (6 quart pot)
~4 lbs chicken wings, frozen (about 30 wings)
~1 cup Frank's red hot sauce
~1 cup butter, melted
~1/2 c water
~1 T hot pepper sauce
~1 T pepper
~1 t garlic powder
Cover and cook on low for 7 hours.
Remove wings using slotted spoon and place on cookie tray.
Broil for 3 minutes.
Spoon some of the crock pot liquid on top of wings.
These were delicious. The meat was flavorful and tender and fell off the bone, but they weren't really hot wings. I suppose someone who prefers mild wings might consider these hot, but for those like us who prefer HOT hot wings, these are not wat you're looking for. I'm definitely going to try this again, but after I find a HOT wing recipe.
Dessert...
This, you probably weren't expecting. You probably thought I'd do something milk or dark chocolatey and something else. Like peanut butter. Or mint. Or bacon. Betcha didn't know that my favorite kind of chocolate is actually white chocolate. And what goes awesomely with white chocolate? Raspberries. You know it's going to be good because I got it from my Betty Crocker crocker's cookbook.
"White Chocolate Bread Pudding" (3.5 quart pot)
~6 cups french bread, cubed
~1 cup white chocolate chips
~1 can sweetened condensed milk
~1 cup raspberries
~1 cup fat free egg product (I used All Whites)
~3/4 c warm water
~1 t vanilla extract
Add bread to greased crock pot.
Sprinkle chocolate chips on top.
Mix remaining ingredients in a small bowl.
Pour on top of chocolate chips.
Cover and cook on low for 3.5 hours.
Sorry. Did you say something? I'm licking my screen. I thought it'd be like having seconds without the calories. Don't judge me.
