Sweet and turkey-ey.

"Turkey Breast with Sweet Potatoes" (6 quart pot)

~3 turkey breasts
~2 sweet potatoes
~1/2 onion, quartered
~1/2 c chicken broth
~1/4 c orange marmalade
~2 T balsamic vinegar
~1/2 t dried marjoram leaves
~2 cloves garlic, minced

Place turkey in greased crock pot
Arrange sweet potatoes and onions around turkey.
Mix all other ingredients in a small bowl.
Pour over turkey and veggies.
Cover and cook on low for 7 hours.

6 servings.
Surprise, surprise. This was delicious. I've come to the conclusion that, like pork, turkey is meant to be crocked. It was perfectly cooked. I've also decided that sweet potatoes are delicious when crocked. Possibly because they soak up all of the juices from the other ingredients they're crocked WITH, but if it gets me to eat the suckers, I'm all for it and I will do it more often.

"Iron Chef: Sweet Potato Week" is now complete and there wasn't a single flop in the bunch. I'll definitely be doing another Iron Chef: something in the future. 'Till next week...
