This week is "Been Awhile Week". I'll be crocking some of the go-to meals I used to cook on that big stainless steel appliance in the kitchen that some might say/think collects a lot of dust these days.
"Chili con Carne" (6 quart pot)
~1 lb lean ground beef, browned and drained
~1 onion, chopped
~1 garlic clove, chopped
~1 can (14 1/2 oz) diced tomatoes, undrained
~1 can (8 oz) tomato sauce
~1 T chili powder
~3/4 t ground cumin
~1/4 t salt
~1/4 t pepper
~1 can (15 oz) dark red kidney beans
Add all ingredients to crock pot.
Cover and cook on low for 8 hours.
6 servings.
I love my chili. Meaty. Spicy. Yum.
