It's chili out.

Brad picked number 7. (Thanks, Brad!) The seventh card in the stack was...

"Chunky Chili" (6 quart pot)

~1 pound ground beef (Thanks, Sandra!)
~1 onion, chopped
~1 (28 oz) can diced tomatoes, undrained
~1 (15 oz) can pinto beans, rinsed and drained
~1/2 c salsa (I used Safeway's hot habaƱero lime)
~1 T chili powder
~1 1/2 t ground cumin
~1/2 c shredded cheddar cheese
~1/4 c onion, chopped
~4 t olives (we don't do olives, so I left them out.)

Cook and stir beef and onion in large skillet over medium-high heat until meat is browned and onion is tender.
Drain and discard fat.
Place beef mixture, tomatoes (with juice), beans, salsa, chili powder, and cumin in crock pot.
Stir.
Cover and cook on low for 6 hours.
Serve with cheese and onions. (And olives if you're into that kind of thing. Yuck.)

4 servings.
It was...chili. Good chili. Not super spicy. Nice and flavorful. A typical meaty chili. I skimmed through the remaining cards and I THINK there are only two chili recipes left. (Thank goodness.) Have I mentioned that I'm chilied out? So. Many. Chilies. At least it was a good day for chili. We got the first snow of '12!
