Close enough for government work.

I finished the ground beef, BUT did you know that there are more random cuts of cow taking up valuable real estate in the freezer? Yeah, there are. We don't have a grill at the moment, so I decided to do the next best thing and "grill" some steak a la crock.

What fun things are in Brad's pantry? Day 26.

~2 rib steaks (Whatever that means.)
~1 onion, diced (I bought this.)
~Grill Mates Montreal Steak seasoning (He has a HUGE barely used 14.5 oz bottle of it that expired in 2011.)

Sauté onions and set aside.
Sprinkle seasoning on both sides of steak
In the same sauté pan, sear both sides of each steak.
Add steak to crock pot.
Pour onions on top.
Cover and cook on low for 6 hours.

2 servings.
These were really good. Nice and tender and full of flavor. Probably not QUITE the flavor you'd get from a grill, but pretty darn close.
