Practicing.

Venturing out to the nearest Safeway today had me wanting to buy EVERYTHING in the produce section. (Oh, fall. How I love you so.) Luckily, I have some self control sometimes. I spotted some fresh cranberries and had to buy them. Some self control. Not much, but some.

What fun things are in Brad's pantry. Day 25.

~1 lb pork pieces for stir fry (That's what it said on the package, I swear. It was in the clearance bin at Safeway.)
~2 sweet potatoes, cut into 1/2 in slices (I bought these.)
~6 oz fresh cranberries (And these, obviously.)
~1 (6.8 oz bottle) ginger beer (Expired last month.)
~1 T red pepper flakes

Add all ingredients to crock pot.
Cover and cook on low for 6 hours.

3 servings.
I thought this was quite tasty. My other half agreed, but thought the cranberries were too tart. This is only the second time (I think) that I've ever used fresh cranberries in anything, so I didn't know how important adding sugar to them is. Lesson learned. I guess I'll just have to stock up on cranberries and crock a bunch of things until I have it mastered. Or something.
