We've had a box of frozen burgers in our freezer forever. I'm pretty sure they moved twice just like we did. We chucked our crappy grill when me moved and Santa didn't bring us a new one, so I decided it was time to make the last of thee bad boys disappear. And I was feeling in the mood for some spicy faux hamburger helper, so this is what I whipped together yesterday.
"Spicy Faux Hamburger Helper" (6 quart pot)
~1 lb ground beef, browned and drained
~1 (15 oz) can diced tomatoes with sweet onion
~1 (4 oz) can mild green chili peppers
~2 garlic cloves, chopped (From the CSA.)
~1 t ground chipotle chili powder
~2 c elbow macaroni, cooked
~1 c frozen corn
Add beef, tomatoes, garlic, and chili powder to crock pot.
Mix.
Cover and cook on low for 7 hours.
Add corn and macaroni.
Mix.
Cover and cook for 10 minutes or until everything is heated.
4 servings.
Mmm... Spicy. Yummy. JUST what I wanted. Nomnomnom.
