Happy Mother's Day!

My parents came down for Mother's Day weekend and my mom requested a home crocked meal that my dad (the pickiest person on the planet) might eat. She suggested beef stroganoff, so that's what I crocked..even though I was pretty sure he doesn't like mushrooms or onions.

The original recipe is HERE.

"Creamy Beef Stroganoff" (6 quart pot)

~2 (10 3/4 oz) cans cream of mushroom soup
~1/4 c water
~2 T Worcestershire sauce
~8 oz fresh mushrooms, sliced
~3 onions, coarsely chopped
~3 garlic cloves, minced
~1/2 t pepper
~1 (2 lb) boneless beef bottom round, cut into thin strips
~8 oz sour cream
~egg noodles, cooked

Combine soup, water, Worcestershire, mushrooms, onion, cloves, pepper and beef in crock pot.
Cover and cook on low for 9 hours.
Stir in sour cream.
Serve over noodles.
(I also served it with a side of sautées asparagus because that's what my mom wanted.)

8 servings.
This was not my our favorite beef stroganoff recipe. You have to REALLY like onions AND for some reason, they weren't as tender as I'm used to after being crocked for so long. It couldn't have been too bad, though, because my dad ate some without complaining TOO much. (Although...I did strain the onions and mushrooms out of his serving ahead of time, so I'm sure that had something to do with it.)
