I have a lot of things on my plate this week (ha!), so this week's blogging is going to be kind of on the brief side of things.
This week's theme is "We go together". All of the recipes I'm making this week contain 2 ingredients that BELONG together.
Last night, I did steak and blue cheese.
"Steak and Blue Cheese Roll Ups" (6 quart pot)
~1 1/2 lbs flat top round beef
~1/2 c red wine
~1/4 c soy sauce
~2 T Worcestershire sauce
~4 cloves garlic
~package of blue cheese
Create marinade out of wine, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, and garlic.
Marinate beef overnight.
Slice blue cheese into strips.
Remove beef from marinade.
Place strips of cheese on beef along beef.
Roll beef.
Place rolls in crock pot.
Dump marinade on top.
Cover and cook on low for 4 hours.
This was good, but not what I was expecting. I cooked mine for 4 1/2 hours and it was probably about a half hour too long because the meat was overdone. Also, the blue cheese was a bit overpowering. And I love blue cheese. I'd make this again after some adjustments.
