Orange-cha glad to be a carnivore?

This one is for the meatball loving crockers of the world. It comes from my go-to cookbook. I'm pretty sure there isn't flop-able recipe in the thing.

"Meatballs with Sweet Orange-Chipotle Sauce" (6 quart pot)

~15 oz diced tomatoes, drained
~8 oz tomato sauce
~1/4 c chopped onion
~2 T tomato paste
~1/4 c dark brown sugar, packed
~1 medium chipotle pepper in adobo sauce, finely chopped
~1 t dried oregano
~1 t grated orange zest
~1 lb ground beef
~1 c mashed potatoes (The unprepared instant flakes...I think. That's what I used, anyway. It was Betty Crocker's Garlic & Herb.)
~1 egg
~3 T fresh cilantro
~2 garlic cloves, minced
~1/4 t salt
~2 t Worcestershire sauce

Combine tomatoes, tomato sauce, onion, tomato paste, sugar, chipotle pepper, oregano, and 1/2 t zest on crock pot.
Cover and cook on low for 4 hours.
Meanwhile...
Combine ground beef, mashed potatoes, egg, cilantro, garlic, remaining 1/2 t zest, and salt.
Roll mixture into 32 meatballs, each about 1 inch.
Spray skillet with Pam.
Cook meatballs over medium heat until well browned.
Drain and reserve.
Add Worcestershire sauce and meatballs to crock pot and stir.
Cover and cook on low for an additional 30 minutes.

8 servings
What carnivore doesn't like meatballs? These are sweet and spicy and delicious. I thought about serving this over pasta of some sort, but then decided to have them just straight up. Either way would be delicious, I'm sure.
