I was going to make this yesterday, but I didn't read the recipe thoroughly early enough (AKA the day before) so we ate at Chipotle instead.
"Honey-Mustard Chicken Stir-Fry" (6 quart pot)
~2 large chicken breasts (Double it if your breasts are tiny like mine -I CANNOT believe I just typed that!)
~1 c teriyaki sauce
~1/3 c water
~1 (12 oz) bottle honey mustard bbq sauce
***I couldn't find any, so I used a bottle of Safeway's Honey Smoke and added 2 packets of Chick-Fil-A's honey mustard sauce that was hiding in our fridge.
~1 (16 oz) bag frozen California style veggies
~rice, cooked
Marinate chicken in teriyaki sauce overnight.
Discard marinade.
Add chicken and water to crock pot.
Cover and cook on low for 7 hours.
Stir in bbq sauce and veggies.
Increase crock to high.
Cover and cook on HIGH for 30 additional minutes.
Serve over rice.
4 servings.
I'm pretty sure there's no way chicken and veggies slathered in bbq sauce can be a bad thing. This was super yummy. I think having bigger breasts would be the only thing that would make it better.
I crack me up.
