I'll really be amazed if our digestive systems survive this experiment. Expiration dates aren't rules, right? They're more what you'd call "guidelines".
What fun things are in Brad's pantry? Day 10.
~1 lb ground beef, browned and drained (AKA the never ending supply of cow.)
~1 c Libby's canned pumpkin (From the HUGE 2008 can.)
~1 t Gulden's mustard (The remnants of a bottle in his fridge. It expired in 2010.)
~1/4 c jalapeƱo peppers (Shockingly not expired yet.)
~1c beef stock (From the HUGE jug of homemade stock in his freezer.)
~2 baking chocolate squares (Expired in January.)
~2 beef ramen packages, minus the seasoning, cooked and drained. (Expired in February.)
Add beef, pumpkin, mustard, peppers, beef stock, and chocolate to crock pot.
Cover and cook on low for 7 hours.
Add ramen and stir.
4 servings.
This was...okay. Something was off AND it seemed to be missing something. It was also a bit chalky, so I'm thinking one chocolate square would've been enough. My other half thinks that adding salsa or tomatoes or more liquid would've made it better. So..."fix" at your own risk. K? K.
