New and improved.

I crocked this yesterday. And then finally had 30 seconds to eat it...today. Why?

I have this weird thing. While my other half goes on long business trips, I paint the house. Weird, right? He goes away for a week and when he comes home rooms in our house look completely different. It's been a compulsion tradition ever since we got married and bought our first house in 2004. And NOW I have a blank canvas. When my little helper is sleeping, I am painting. And sometimes crocking. But kind of slacking in the blogging about it department. (Sorry.)

"Isabella's CSA Fall Chicken" (6 quart pot.)

~1 HUGE chicken breast
~1 sweet potato, cut into chunks (From the CSA.)
~1 large apple, cut into chunks (From the CSA.)
~1/4 c walnuts
~1/4 c cooking Sherry
~1 t all spice

Add chicken to crock pot.
Dump sweet potatoes, apples, and walnuts on top.
Pour in the Sherry.
Sprinkle allspice on top of everything.
Cover and cook on low for 8 hours.

1 (and a half) servings.
This was really, really, REALLY good. I wish I had more of it. My little helper helped me polish it off, so that's always a good sign. Yum.

And now back to painting.
