My plan was to make some sort of ham for Christmas dinner. (How very original of me, right?) Instead, we decided that it'd be better to polish off the leftovers in the fridge since we were heading to Philly for 5 days. Amusingly, we had ham on the 26th (thanks to my inlaws) AND on the 29th (thanks to my 'rents).
"Belated Christmas Ham" (6 quart pot)
~3.5 lbs boneless ham
~3/4 can pineapple tidbits (We used the other 1/4 on homemade pizza last night.)
~1 c fresh cranberries
~1/2 t allspice
~1/4 t ground cinnamon
Place ham in crock pot, flat side down.
Dump pineapple and cranberries on top.
Sprinkle allspice and cinnamon on top of everything.
Cover and cook on low for 7 hours.
Slice and serve.
6 servings.
Mmm.. This was quite yummy. My little helper LOVED it and kept coming back for more.
Here ends 2012. Thanks for putting up with me for another year! What crocks will 2013 bring? Stay tuned!
